UK Application Procedure (2026)

Undergraduate Applications — UCAS

All UK undergraduate applications go through the UCAS portal (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Key dates for 2026 entry:

• UCAS Equal Consideration Deadline: 29 January 2026 (Oxford/Cambridge: 15 October 2025)
• Extra Applications Deadline: 30 June 2026
• Maximum 5 university choices per UCAS application

Postgraduate Applications — Direct to University

Postgraduate applications go directly to the university's admissions portal. Most PG programs accept rolling applications — ILOC recommends applying October–January for September 2026 intake.

Document Requirements

• Academic transcripts and certificates (apostilled if required)
• Personal Statement (600–1,000 words for UG; 1,000–1,500 for PG)
• 2 academic/professional references
• IELTS Academic certificate (minimum 6.0–7.0 depending on institution)
• CV/Resume (for postgraduate programs)

Student Route Visa Application

Once you receive a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) from your university, ILOC manages:

• Online Student Route Visa application (£490 fee + IHS)
• Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS): £776/year — payable online at point of application
• Biometric Appointment at a UKVI centre in Pune, Mumbai, or Delhi
• Financial evidence: maintenance funds must be held for 28 consecutive days before application
