Application Procedure
Ireland Application Procedure (2026)
Step 1 — University Application
- Undergraduate: Apply via the CAO (Central Applications Office) by 1 February 2026
- Postgraduate: Apply directly to university portals — most accept rolling applications from October 2025
Step 2 — Letter of Offer
Upon receiving a conditional or unconditional offer letter, ILOC confirms all financial and academic conditions and proceeds to visa preparation.
Step 3 — Irish Study Visa Application
- Apply online via INIS (Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service)
- Visa fee: €60 single entry / €100 multiple entry
- Processing time: 4–8 weeks from biometric submission
- Documents: offer letter, bank statements (€7,000+ in personal or family account), IELTS, passport, academic certificates
Step 4 — IRP (Irish Residence Permit) Registration
Within 90 days of arrival, all non-EEA students must register at their local Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) office and obtain an Irish Residence Permit (IRP) card. ILOC provides a step-by-step guide and appointment booking support.
